Juleps & Viragoes, the living history department of the Cromwell Historical Society at the 1853 Stevens-Frisbie House, cordially invites you to attend the premier event of the 1865 social season: The Presidential Ball of the Rebellion.  While period attire is encouraged and admired, formal attire of the twenty-first century will be equally at home.  Dressing rooms are available at the Hall.  Any questions regarding attire of any kind may be addressed to Juleps & Viragoes at the Cromwell Historical Society, (860) 635-0501.

If your dancing slippers are mouldy with disuse, not to worry! Mr. Strein and Ms. Brettman will explain each simple dance so as to inspire you with confidence and grace. President Abraham Lincoln will make an appearance and greet guests as they approach

a generous refreshment buffet midway through the evening. J&V sincerely hopes to see you at the Presidential Ball of the Rebellion, the most civil affair to arise from the era of the Civil War.
